Consumer Energy Tax Credits |

Good news! Under the previous administration most
energy saving tax credits expired in December of 2007. President Obama signed
a stimulus bill on February 17, 2009 that made some big changes. These credits are available for existing homes and are available for the following energy saving improvements at 30% of the purchase price up to $1500. The tax credits are available for purchases in 2009 and 2010: Water Heaters Additional tax credits are available for 30 percent of the cost with no upper limit for new and existing homes for the following energy saving devices: Small Wind Energy Systems You may also be able to get some help from your state also. The NAIMA website has a list of energy saving incentives that each state has to offer: http://www.naima.org/pages/resources/incentives.html Don't forget to check with your local utility company. Many have weatherization programs that may be of benefit to you.
